Covered reasons are outlined by your plan and decide what can be covered. Remember, exclusions outlined in your plan can affect covered reasons. For example, an act of war is excluded from TravelSafe plans. If you require a non-medical emergency evacuation due to an act of war, you may not receive coverage from this benefit.

Natural disaster, civil, military or political unrest
Being expelled or declared a person non-grata by a country

A formal recommendation in the form of a travel advisory or travel warning from the U.S. State Department has been issued, and the reason that causes the travel advisory or warning to be issued is covered by the plan.
